Cookies Without A Jar
                                            A NaruSaku Fan Fiction
                                                        Part One
     Naruto hadn’t slept for two weeks now. It was just blank in his mind...Tsunade said it was to do with something on his mind that may be bottled up. He had no idea what that thing was.
     He was standing by the window as the young sun began rising from the awakening horizon. All the Hokages of the Hokage Cliff began to slowly get brighter. For breakfast he decided to get some cereal, which he did, almost everyday. It looked like it was going to be a beautiful day in Konoha.
     Uzumaki Naruto sat down by the table and got himself a box of cereal, milk carton and a bowl. He poured the milk and cereal in the bowl and ate the solution. He was sleepy, but he just couldn’t sleep. Fully clothed and ready for almost anything.
     “Hello Naruto!” Kakashi shouted through the window, as he hung upside down. Naruto jumped and shouted “Hey, Kakashi-Sensei! Why are you here so early?”
     “You weren’t sleeping,” he said calmly, “anyway, Sakura’s up, and so is Neji, you’re going on an A-Rank mission, it’s urgent.” Kakashi looked serious now, it was clear that he wasn’t joking.
     “Why didn’t you tell me this earlier?” Naruto objected. “You already knew” Kakashi replied.
     Naruto shrugged. Tsunade had mentioned something to do with Orochimaru and Sasuke but he was watching the hilarious flight of a small bird. He guessed there’s no point in arguing. So he grabbed his stuff, his bag of weapons (shuriken, kunai, etc.), a picture of team 7, at the very beginning they got their picture taken and a few essential things, like bandages and food and water. The preparations took about ten minutes and Kakashi was beginning to sway forwards and backwards from impatience.
     “Coming, Kakashi-sensei!” Naruto shouted, as he opened the window and jumped through, closing it at the last second. They leapt through the landscape of Konoha and eventually got to the Konohagakure gates, where Neji and Sakura were waiting. Sakura was blushing as Neji was saying something to her. Naruto felt his stomach jerk.
     “Alright, alright, we’re all here. Our mission is to keep Orochimaru and Sasuke (Sakura flinched at the name of Sasuke) at bay, while reinforcements from the Hidden Sand come.” Kakashi explained, showing a map of the borders of Konoha and the other villages, “Got that?”
     Everyone nodded in agreement. “Greeeaaat, now lets get going.” They jumped and began leaping from tree to tree at rapid speeds. Naruto felt quite down, he didn’t know if it was the early rise and lack of sleep, or why Sakura was acting so happy around Neji...No; don’t think about that, he thought, you don’t have feelings for Sakura.
     Time had passed by, and Naruto had lost track of it. Kakashi nodded at Neji. Instantly, Neji shouted “Byakugan!”  and his normal eyes were replaced with the cold, white eyes of the Byakugan.
     “Anything?” Kakashi asked. Neji grinned, “Yes.”
